Export Credit Insurance and Guarantee Company ( BECI) was set up in 1996 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Botswana Development Corporation. The main reason for establishing BECI was to assist in the development of non- traditional exports as well as to encourage exporters to export to a variety of markets. Presently BECI provides both export and domestic credit insurance. Credit insurance is about protecting businesses against the risk of loss resulting from non- payment by their customers. For a very small premium you can have total peace of mind.
